Ingredients

  1. 4Tomatoes - medium sized
  2. 1/2 cupPaneer grated
  3. 1/2 cupboiled potato (mashed)
  4. 1 tspJeera
  5. 1 pinchHing
  6. 2 tbspOil
  7. 1 pinchTurmeric powder
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. Red chilli powder as preferred
  10. 1/2 tspGaram masala

Cooking Instructions

    Take the tomatoes. Cut horizontally the upper portion. Scrape out the seeds and inner flesh. Keep aside. Chop the inner flesh or grind it.

    Heat 1/2 tbsp oil in a pan. Crackle jeera. Add hing. Add the chopped tomato pieces. Add the turmeric powder. Add the grated paneer and mashed potato. Add salt and red chilli powder. Add garam masala. Cook till the mixture becomes solid. Switch off gas and cool.

    Stuff the above mixture into the tomatoes. Heat some oil in a flat pan. Add the tomatoes. Add some oil on top of tomatoes. Cook on low heat for 3 minutes. Change the position of tomatoes every two minutes carefully.

    When done remove the tomatoes from the pan and serve as accompaniment with rice or chapatis.
