Ingredients

50 minutes
4 servings
  • 1/2 cupCooked Chic peas
  • 1Avocado chopped
  • Squeezea lemon about 1 tbls
  • 2good sized Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tspred pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tspreal salt
  • 1/2 Tspcumin
  • 1little black pepper
  • 2thick slices of Beetroot
  • 3 tblsreserved water from the chic peas
  • 4heaped tbls Authentic Greek yogurt
  • 1 tblsVirgin olive oil
  • Red pepper flakes for topping
  • 1 tblsvirgin olive oil for topping too

Steps

50 minutes
  1. 1

    Boil the chic peas with 2 bay leaves, water 3 inch above chic peas, a little fresh basil or dried also salt a good pinch. Boil for 40 minutes.

    Ingredients.

    Crush and cut up the Garlic and Beetroot, avocado into small pieces. Rinse the chic peas in cold water and leave to strain. add to the blender and add the yogurt.

    Add all these with the chic peas when cooked to the blender and mix everything together including the 3 tbls water reserved from the chic peas. Blend into a pulse and thickness that you want. If too thick just add a little more virgin olive oil and another tbls yogurt.

    Add to dip bowls and dip trail mix Crackers. Or any seeded crackers will be nice. Add to a jar with a lid keep in the fridge until using it.

Cookpad founder Member Ambassador, Also a Cookaholic.I love this Cookpad Site, Recipes, friends, interesting people and outstanding recipes, and able to see and to taste food from all over the world. i have learned so much more here, spices , herbs and lovely recipes of different cultures. also experimenting mixing different herbs and spices and making my own creations .I have cooked for my family since I was 14yrs, home from school as my Grandmother could no longer cook she was 91yrs, my Dad worked and there was only me so I learned quite quick and have always enjoyed it. I only started experimenting with herbs and spices and items I had never heard of before through joining Cookpad 2014 and I'm still learning new things. It is a passion of mine and I always invite my family around so I can create something new for them to try. my children grew up learning lots from me I have 3 daughters all with their own families and two Sons one who cooks for his family also my youngest son who is still at home with me,he comes up with some lovely meals and ideas so I'm proud of them all. 💜
