Wash and cut the edges of the sabji. Then cut it in halves and then in thin slices. Heat oil add green chillies, grated ginger, saute till onions are soft. Then add all the masala. Then add the sliced potatoes.

Add the ivy gourd. Mix well, add salt. Add water. Cover and cook till tender. When done garnish with coriander leaves and serve with roti.
