How to fold Springrolls in 3 simple steps

Spring Rolls? Are those just vegetarian egg rolls? NOPE. Spring Rolls are the best, way better than an egg roll. Why? The super thin, crispy wrapper that basically shatters when you bite into it.They are great appetizers for individuals or parties. You can make these , freeze and enjoy anytime of the day or send over to some friends. I enjoy making these and I hope you will too.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
For the Edible Glue, in a small bowl add flour, about 2 tbspn. Then add little water, mix to form a paste. Not too thick not too thin. The other picture is how my springroll wraps or sheets look like.
- 2
For the filling Cut the vegetables thinly, the more tender the vegetables are the more crisp and light the spring rolls are.
Cook the filling until it is as dry as you can make it. A wet filling will make for a soggy spring roll.
Do not add hot filling to spring roll wrapper. The wrapper is so thin it will become soggy quickly.
- 3
Step one, spread your springrolls sheet / wrap on a flat surface. Then add your filling as shown in the picture. Then With your finger or spoon or brush, add the glue and spread it nicely at the tip of the wrap / sheet.
- 4
Step two, now roll your sheet once, then take one edge and flip it over as shown in the picture. Then take the other edge as well and nicely flip it.
- 5
Step three, roll it nicely over to the tip.Wrap the spring rolls tightly and add a bit of the glue to the edges to seal them after wrapping.
You can freeze some and cook them whenever you feel like, or you can send to your friends and let them taste the goodness of your hands ❤️
- 6
The picture below is after I had fried and placed them nicely in a box with some Kebabs and sent over to a friends Launch Party.
- 7
Important note - Do not overfill the rolls, I use about two tablespoons of filling and this keeps them thin enough to fry well even from frozen.
Freeze the filled rolls in a single layer until frozen so they don’t stick together. This will prevent the seal from breaking when you try to fry them individually.

Genovese Sauce and Cheese Spring Rolls Genovese Sauce and Cheese Spring Rolls
I had leftover Genovese sauce... I also had leftover spring roll wrappers. I thought cheese would be nice with them and made spring rolls. They were quite good!Adjust the amount of cheese and Genovese sauce. If you use too much it will be difficult to handle and taste quite salty. You can fry them on a greased frying pan, or instead you can use an oven toaster without oil, for a healthier result. Fresh Spring Rolls with Cheese & Cucumber Chikuwa Fresh Spring Rolls with Cheese & Cucumber Chikuwa
Cucumber chikuwa is a great appetizer, and I made it to be more voluminous! You can eat a lot of these spring rolls in place of a salad I stuff chikuwa with whatever I fancy to enjoy various kinds of fresh spring rolls. It's quicker to rehydrate rice paper wrappers in hot water, but they will be difficult to handle if they soften too much. So you won't fail much if you rehydrate them in water until you get used to making fresh spring rolls. If the rice paper wrapper is too hard to roll, it will soften with the moisture from the vegetables, so let them rest for a little. The rice paper wrapper will soon soften enough to roll. Simple Non-Fried Toasted Spring Rolls Simple Non-Fried Toasted Spring Rolls
When eating out I've had both spring rolls with cream cheese and spring rolls with edamame, so I decided to see what would happen if I combined them Then I added some of my favourite mentaiko and cooked them in the oven (since I couldn't be bothered with frying them). They came out really well and everyone loved them! Now I have these all the time. You can add more edamame if you'd like, but if you add in 4, they're spaced out just enough so that you get a bean with each bite. Vietnamese Spring Rolls with Dipping Sauce Vietnamese Spring Rolls with Dipping Sauce
You can call these salad rolls, fresh spring rolls, Vietnamese spring rolls, or whatever you like! I just want to share my special Vietnamese dipping sauce recipe, a family secret from my mother. It goes perfectly with fresh vegetables. This version doesn’t use lime or vinegar, making it great for older adults who may have joint pain from those ingredients. My mother-in-law has gout, so I adapted the recipe so she can enjoy it too. ChollYTranslated from Cookpad Thailand -
How to Bake Spring Rolls (Nem) in the Oven in 10 Minutes How to Bake Spring Rolls (Nem) in the Oven in 10 Minutes
Making spring rolls (nem) is very common, and I’ve already shared how to fry them using an air fryer, so I won’t repeat that here. The advantage of baking spring rolls is that they use very little oil, but the downside is they aren’t as crispy.Ruby

Sweet & Salty Spring Rolls with Vegetable Namul and Tteokbokki (Mochi) Sweet & Salty Spring Rolls with Vegetable Namul and Tteokbokki (Mochi)
I wondered if sweet and salty gochujiang flavored tteokbokki would taste good wrapped in crispy spring rolls. When I made them, they came out just as delicious as I thought. The point is to thoroughly flavor the mochi Since making only a small amount of namul just for these spring rolls seems pointless to me, I make extra and use it the next day to make bibimbap or soup, etc. You could also make these spring rolls using leftover or store bought namul. For 10 spring rolls. Recipe by Masapandayan cookpad.japan -
