Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare powder by grinding ragi in a mixer jar and take it out in a bowl. Heat a pan, add almonds, cashews and pistachios and roast them for a minute. Grind the roasted dry fruits in half, then turn the pulse mode to crush the dates as well.
- 2
Now add 3 tbsp ghee in the same pan, when it gets hot add ragi flour and roast it on low heat. Then add ginger and cardamom powder and mix. Remove the mixture to a plate. Add 2 tbsp of ghee and saute the crushed dates in a pan for four to 5 minutes.
- 3
When the dates become soft, remove them also in a plate. Add half the crushed dry fruits to it. Again in the same pan add chopped jaggery and 1 tbsp ghee and mix, once the jaggery melts, immediately add it to the dates mixture and mix quickly.
- 4
Grease a vessel with ghee and spread it. Sprinkle dried fruit slices and poppy seeds on top. Cut into pieces after cooling.
