Put 4cups of water in pan and add 300 gms sugar now stir and boil it until it becomes thick syrup add green cardamon powder into it. Once it becomes thick switch off the oven and keep the sugar syrup aside to cool down.

Now take a bowl and mix Maida, Kalounji pinch of two, baking soda half teaspoon, sugar two tablespoons, salt half teaspoon, ghee three tablespoons and two tablespoons of refine oil and mix it very well once all the ingredients is mixed well then slowly put water into it to make a mound.

Once the mound is ready now put the whole mound on the plain surface and start layering by cutting it half.. Need to do the layering three to four times and remember the mound should not be thin. The base of the mound will be thick and layered

Now put the pan full of oiland heat it well. Then cut down the layered mound into pieces and make a deep fry. Once the pieces are fried deeply them immediately dip down the fried pieces into the pan of sugar syrup and keep it for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes again turn the upside down of the fried part for the syrup to enter inside the pieces well.

Now the Gaja is ready to be served.
