  1. 2cups all purpose flour
  2. 1tsp baking soda
  3. 1/4tsp salt
  4. 4ripe bananas
  5. 2eggs
  6. 1/4cup softened butter
  7. 3/4cup brown sugar
  8. 1/4cup almond slivers (optional)
  9. 1/4cup crushed walnuts (optional)
  10. a splash of vanilla extract (optional)
  11. 9inch x 5 inch loaf pan
  12. Some butter / oil / cooking spray to grease the loaf pan

    Step 1- preheat oven to 375F

  2. 2

    Step 2- mix 2 cups of flour, 1 tsp baking soda and ¼ tsp salt in a bowl

  3. 3

    Step 3 – mix ¼ cup softened butter and ¾ cup brown sugar in bowl. You can use an electric cake beater or spoon to mix

    Step 3 – crack 2 eggs in a bowl and beat them well.

  5. 5

    Step 4 – Mix the beaten eggs to the butter and sugar mix

  6. 6

    Step 5 – Mash 4 overripe bananas in bowl.

  7. 7

    Step 6 – add the egg, butter and sugar mix to the mashed bananas and mix well. Then add ¼ cup almond slivers, ¼ cup crushed walnuts and a splash of vanilla extract to the batter and mix well.

    Step 7- Add the flour mix the above batter and mix well.

    Step 8- Grease a 9 inch x 5 inch loaf pan with butter/oil/cooking spray

    Step 9- Pour the banana bread batter into the pan

  11. 11

    Step 10- Bake at 375F for 55-60 mins. Let it cool down and enjoy !!

I love cooking because its fun. It’s a way to express myself. Its an universal language which everyone understands. Cooking is an art where a doodle can be delicious. Its all about experiencing the flavors of the world and enjoying it. It’s a continuous learning process which is never ending but its fun and fulfilling. Cooking is food for my soul. It gives me an opportunity to nurture my family and friends, express my love and care for them.
