Heat oil/ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seed, bay leaf, cardamom, all dry spices and cook for a minute.now add sliced onion and fry for a couple of minutes.

Now add ginger garlic paste and slit green chilli and fry for a few minutes.add all spices and mix well.add potato and green peas and mix into a masala for a couple of minutes.

Add the rice, mix well. Along with water, salt and light spices. Cook for 2-3whistle till rice is well cooked and not mushy and the veggie are cooked.

Garnished with chopped coriander. Serve hot with raita and papad.
