Cooking Instructions
- 1
Take the banana and berries. Chop it to slices and keep it on a tray such that they do not touch each other.
- 2
Put the tray in refrigerator for 5-6 hours or overnight.
- 3
In a blender take all the frozen fruits and the ginger paste and start blending.
- 4
Add splashes of water if required.
- 5
Make a smooth paste of the mixture and you will achieve a smooth texture.
- 6
If the sorbet has become very soft, keep it in the refrigerator for one hour.
- 7
Garnish the sorbet with coconut shavings and enjoy the sorbet with your family and friends.
- 8
Notes:While freezing the fruits freeze them such that they do not touch each other in the tray, else they will freeze as a blob and it will be difficult to break or blend them.

Emphasis on the simple. Try to buy unwaxed lemons to avoid any changes in the flavour of the rind or else scrub the lemons. A recipe I tried from from a book for the first time. I plan to make it again after a bit more information on the science behind the dessert. LucyA1 -

Asian Pear Sorbet Asian Pear Sorbet
With this year's scorching heat, I have a tendency to buy popsicles, but I'm concerned about the sugar content and our household budget, so, I tried out different homemade sorbets. When I used a overripe Asian pear, it turned out just like the popsicles sold in Japan! My child and I are both hooked on these.① The lemon juice is added to help sustain the coloring and also for the flavor. The lemon will detract from the sweetness of the pear, so be sure not to put too much in.② Even for bruised or dull Asian pears, this is a tasty recipe!③ The sweetness of Asian pears is tasty enough, but for those who prefer more sweetness, add more sugar. For 2 servings. Recipe by cafepanda cookpad.japan -
