Ingredients

  1. 4eggs
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1 1/4 cupflour
  4. 3 tspbaking powder
  5. 1/2 tsprose essence
  6. 1/2 tspcardamom powder
  7. 1/2 cup warm water
  8. 1/2 cupoil
  9. Icing ingredients
  10. 1/2 cupklim /milk powder
  11. 1 1/2 cupicing sugar
  12. 4 Tblsoftened butter
  13. 2 Tblwarm milk
  14. Droprose essence
  15. 1/2 tspcardamom powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Beat the eggs and sugar until light and creamy.

  2. 2

    Fold in the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and cardamom powder).

  3. 3

    Combine the oil and water, add to the mixture and beat well. Add the rose essence and stir through.

  4. 4

    Pour into desired cake pan and bake at 180*C for 20-25 minutes.

  5. 5

    Allow to cool.

  6. 6

    Method for icing.
    Cream the butter for a few minutes on high speed with an electric mixer. It will become pale yellow. Add the icing sugar, milk powder, rose essence and cardamom powder and mix well for 5 minutes. Add the milk if needed.

  7. 7

    Adjust as desired. Beat well. Spread onto cooled cake and decorate as desired. Enjoy.
