Heat the karahi on medium flame, roast the singdana for 5 to 6 minutes until brown in colour. After that let it cool down and then grind it in a mixer and keep aside.Also prepare ginger and chilli paste in mixer.

Now keep the karahi on a medium flame.Once it's heated properly add 2 to 3 tablespoon oil, then add cumin seed, then asafoetida.Then add ginger and chilli paste, saute it for a minute, then add pieces of boiled potatoes. Stir it properly.

Add red chilli powder, salt, and amchur powder. Stir and mix properly. Cover the karahi with a lid and let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes.Then switch off (heat) stove.

Add the powdered singdana in the karahi and mix properly.It is ready to eat.

IMPORTANT POINTS singdana wale aloo can also be eaten during wrat or fast by using sendha namak and excluding hing.It can be eaten with chapati,paratha,puri etc.Can garnish with coriander leaves.
