This recipe came about when I was missing my mom's cooking and video called her. It is inspired by com suon (Vietnamese grilled pork with rice) but is more simplified.I replaced the traditional pork with chicken thigh because it's cheaper and was also what I had in the freezer. It's very simple, delicious and satisfied my craving for food from home!I hope you'll try it out!

The amounts of ingredients are from memory , but when I steam them up, they taste just like the real thing.These are ordinarily deep-fried after steaming, but since they aren't coated in any flour, the oil tends to spatter quite a bit. I thought that the sauce for "Cold Steamed Eggplant"would go well with steamed chicken so I tried it out, and it was even better than I imagined.The cooking times for chicken in a 500 W microwave oven are: 2 minutes for 100 g; 6 minutes for 300 g.
