Steps

Grate tomato and ginger and make a paste.

Heat oil in a karahi and put cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put ground paste and fry till oil leaves the karahi.

Add 2 bowls of water. When water boils add chopped potato and cook for 5 minutes. Switch off the flame.

Serve with hot puri garnished with chopped coriander leaves.

PURIS: Knead a tight dough by mixing wheat flour, cumin seeds, salt and moyan.

Now divide the dough into 5 portions. Roll it cylindrically. Cut small pieces and make balls.

Now roll PURIS with rolling pin.

Heat oil in a karahi and put puri in oil and deep fry till golden brown colour.

Serve hot with Alur bhaji.
