Ingredients

  • 2eggs
  • 100 gsoftened butter
  • Quarter cup caster augar
  • 1 cupself raising flour
  • 1 tspbaking powder
  • 1 pinchbakingbsoda
  • Quarter cup milk
  • Zest of one lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • For the milk syrup
  • 1 cupmilk
  • 4 tbscaster sugar
  • For the lemon juice
  • 1lemon juice
  • 1 tbscaster sugar

Steps

  1. 1

    . Preheat ur oven and grease ur pan, dust with flour, throw out excess flour.
    Add all the cake ingredients and whisk till pale except

  2. 2

    Pour in the cake pan and bake for 30mins or until toothpick comes out nice and clean.
    Prepare the Milk syrup by adding all milk syrup ingredients in a sauce pan boil till a bit thick.
    poke the cake with fork.

  3. 3

    FOR the lemon syrup add ingredients in a clean bowl and whisk den pour on the cake after it absorbs the lemon syrup pour the milk syrup and allow to chill in the freezer for an hour or 30mins then serve.
    Serve while chilled
