Chili con Carne

You can make this recipe spicy or not. In my case, since I'm the only one in the family who eats spicy food, I chop the chili or pepper and serve it on the side.

You can make this recipe spicy or not. In my case, since I'm the only one in the family who eats spicy food, I chop the chili or pepper and serve it on the side.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Chop the garlic, onion, bell pepper (if using jarred, empty it and cut with a wooden spoon), and chili into small pieces, except for the tomato. Sauté everything in a large pot with a generous amount of oil.
- 2
Once the onion is well cooked, add the ground meat and season with salt, pepper, oregano, cumin, and sweet paprika (optional: ground chili or cayenne pepper🔥). Stir to ensure the meat cooks with the sautéed mixture.
- 3
Add the tomato paste, stir, and then add the beans and diced tomatoes.
- 4
Add a cup of water if the mixture is too thick.
- 5
Let it simmer for 15 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 6
Let it rest for a few minutes. Like any good stew, it will taste better the next day.
- 7
When serving, if desired, add meltable cheese to let it melt with the heat of the chili.

Chili con carne Chili con carne
There are a lot of great things about my city, but access to southwestern ingredients isn't one of them. Especially in our suburb, where it's easier to find a half-dozen different blends of Chinese 5-spice than it is to find 1 ancho chili. That's where this recipe comes in. If you don't already have everything you need to make it in your pantry, you can probably pick it up at your local supermarket. Perfect for when you feel like cooking up a tasty pot of chili. Healthy Bean and Tofu Chili Con Carne Healthy Bean and Tofu Chili Con Carne
I tend to substitute tofu in place of beef; this is a favorite family recipe for chili con carne that uses tofu with different types of beans.Since I prefer to go light on the seasoning, the flavoring is not as heavy as your average chili con carne, so adjust the seasoning to taste. 1 tablespoon chili powder makes it mild, but 2 tablespoons make it spicy. If you like it really spicy, try 3 tablespoons. For 4 to 5 servings. Recipe by Pu-kosan cookpad.japan -
