Ghila Pitha gets it's name from it's shape-Ghila which means knee cap in Assamese. Some people called it as bor pitha or tel pitha also.

Ghila Pitha gets it's name from it's shape-Ghila which means knee cap in Assamese. Some people called it as bor pitha or tel pitha also.
Steps

Measure and add all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add water and make a smooth batter. Keep it aside for 15 mins.

After 15 mins mix it well again. Heat enough oil in a kadhai.

When the oil become hot add little amount of batter into the hot oil with the help of a round-shaped spoon. Don't overcrowd the pan.

Fry till they become golden brown and crispy from the outsides. Once done absorb the excess oil with a tissue.

Finally tel pitha or ghila pitha is ready to serve.
