In a pan add little oil roast mustard seeds, curry leaves remove in a plate roast coconut remove it and then roast chilli and grind all this into a paste using little water

In a pressure cooker cook ivy gourd and chana till 1 whistle in a low flame

In a pan add tempering: oil, mustard seeds, few chana dal, curry leaves let it splutter then add onions fry for a minute add prepares paste saute well then add boiled veges, salt n cook well at last add tamarind pulp according to your taste n if ivy gourd is sour then avoid it.. ready to serve i like to eat with steamed rice...
