Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1 bowlbaasmati rice
  • 1 bowlpeas
  • 6-8soya chunks (soaked in hot water)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1bay leaf
  • pinchasafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 pieceginger grated
  • 2green chillies chopped
  • 1 tbspdesi ghee

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak rice for 1 hr

  2. 2

    Heat up cooker. Add ghee then bay leaf, asafoetida and cumin seeds

  3. 3

    Now add ginger, chillies,peas and squeezed soya chunks,salt, turmeric powder and 2 katori water and boil

  4. 4

    Add rice and close the lid. Let it cook for 2 whistles.

  5. 5

    Open cooker and add garam masala and enjoy with pickle or chutney
