Steps

Mix rice and daal in a bowl and soak into water for 10 minutes

Take a oil in a pan, add onion into it.

When onions become golden brown, add whole spices and bhonofy for a minute.

Now add 2 cup water, rice and daal. There should be no excess water. U should check it continuesly.

Mix it well. Cook it till rice become half tender(two kanni remaining).

Do dum for 15 minutes.

Serve it hot with chutney, salad and raita/ yogurt.
