Dry roast ragi flour and rice flour till got nice aroma, then transfer into bowl.

Add butter into the hot fried flour and mix once.

Heat the water till bubbles come to top.

Sprinkle the hot water into ragi flour mix well.Don't add more water at one shot.

When hold the flour it maintain the shape then press the shape it will become flour. That is the right consistency.

Add salt and cardamom and mix well.

Transfer into idly mould. spread evenly. Close the lid and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.

Meanwhile add jaggery powder in a vessel. Add 1 glass of water allow it to boil till jaggery fully dries.

Drain the jaggery syrup for the purpose of remove dust.

After 10 minutes open the idli pot.

Doesn't stick with fingers. Ragi puttu cooked perfectly. Transfer into bowl.

Add jaggery syrup little by little into cooked ragi puttu mix well till required consistency

Add grated coconut and give it a good mix.

Very very healthy soft ragi puttu ready to taste.
