Banana Bread

This Banana Bread recipe has been passed down from my Mother. She would make this for my brothers and I as kids. To this day, the smell of it still brings me back to the wonderful times we had baking it together.

This Banana Bread recipe has been passed down from my Mother. She would make this for my brothers and I as kids. To this day, the smell of it still brings me back to the wonderful times we had baking it together.

Preheat the oven to 350 F (175 C). Grease a bunt pan with butter.

Mash the bananas together in a bowl with a spoon. Some chunks are fine to leave, but it should mostly be smooth.

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix together. The buttermilk can be substituted for 1 tablespoon of vinegar and 1/2 cup of milk.

Toss in the raisins or chocolate chips and mix together

Pour the mixture in a bunt pan and bake for 1 hour
