Neureos are flaky pastries loaded with a sweet filling. These are prepared during festivals in Goa like Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali and Christmas.

In a big bowl mix all the ingredients for the dough first till it is crumbly.. then add little water and make a soft dough.. cover and keep aside for 15 mins

Filling: dry roast moong dal in a pan till it's golden grind to a fine powder.

In the same pan dry roast sesame seeds and keep aside.

In the same pan add butter and roast dessicated coconut till ots golden

In a bowl mix all the ingredients for the filling along with the dry fruits and powdered sugar.. mix well

Knead the dough once again. Then take a small size ball of the dough and roll out to make a puri size roti, then add 2 tbsp filling in the centre... then apply water on the side to seal the ends to make a semicircle neureos. Make designs as shown in pic

Deep fry neureos on medium high flame...till it's crispy and golden... serve hot or u can also store this in an airtight container.
