Creamy Slow Cooked Oatmeal(Steel-cut Oats)

Start this at night before you go to bed and it will be ready in the morning for breakfast.

Around 10pm add 2 cups of Steel-cut oats to a small crockpot.

Next add 7 1/2 cups of water(I use filtered)

Turn the crockpot to low and add salt and then cover with lid.

Go to bed and wake up to fresh creamy oatmeal. Whoever wakes up first can switch the crockpot to warm so it stops cooking.

I usually still add some salt to my bowl along with all the other yummy stuff you may choose to add to your oatmeal(fruit, sunflower butter, nuts, coconut oil, almond milk, honey/stevia, etc)

You can store it in the crockpot for the week or transfer it to its own container. I usually reheat it in a skillet with some coconut oil since the microwave will kill good nutrients.
