Ingredients

  1. 2 tbspGhee
  2. 3/4th Cup Sevai
  3. 4 CupsMilk
  4. 2 tbspRaisins
  5. as per taste Sugar

Cooking Instructions

    Take 2 tbsp. Ghee in a rice cooker and roast the raisins in the Ghee. When the raisins turn golden-brown, remove the raisins in a small bowl and let the ghee stay in the cooker.

    Now add the Sevai to the same Ghee and roast it.

    In the meanwhile, keep the 4 cups of milk on high heat, till it comes to a boil.

    After the sevai is roasted, add half the milk to it, mix well, close the cooker lid and cook it till one whistle and then turn off the gas.

    After some time open the lid of the cooker.

    Mix well and now add the other half of the milk to the cooked Sevai, and add Sugar as per taste, and then boil for another 10 minutes while constantly stirring it.

    After 10 minutes, turn off the gas, and let the mixture cool down for some time. Then add the roasted raisins to the mixture and mix well. Your Sevai Kheer is ready to be served.

    Serve the Sevai Kheer preferably in silver utensils for a royal presentation.

    Note: While you are roasting the Raisins or the Sevai, make sure you are constantly stirring them and they don't get burnt.
