Wash daal 2-3 times and take 3-4 whistles in cooker and keep aside. Keep a pan on medium heat add vegetable oil and add mustard and jeera seeds let it cracker. Add green chillie, curry leaves, ginger-garlic paste, bay leaf, tamarind, chopped onion and tomatoes.

Once the onion and tomatoes get cooked add all dry spices and mix well. Add cooked daal and add boiled water as per consistency required. Let it boil.

Keep a tadaka pan on medium flame add ghee, add mustard and jeera seeds let it cracker add 2-3 garlic pods, curry leaves and red chilies. Put this tadaka on a boiling daal. Let it boil for 5 minutes and it is ready to serve.
