Once while scrolling through Facebook, I noticed one of my favourite aunt has posted a picture of white barfi shaped food. I was curious and asked her about the sweet. She told me that it's savory and is made using rice flour. My curiosity got deeper and hence asked her for the recipe and tried it the very next day. Since that day, it is one of my favourite snacks. #rainbowweek3

Heat Ghee in a kadhai. Add mustard seeds, moong dal and chana dal. Let it sputter. Now add chopped onions and curry leaves. Cook until onions are caramelized.

Make a thin runny batter using one cup rice flour, one cup sour curd/buttermilk and two cups of water. Add it to the caramelized onions. Add salt and pepper powder as per taste.

Cook until. It thickens. Once done, grease a plate with oil and set the prepared anruthaphalam in it. Once set, cut it into desired shapes. You can set it in different shaped moulds too.
