Pepper garlic instant rasam

Steps

Soak the tamarind in hot water and extract the tamarind juice (for about a cup by diluting it with water).

Crush the pepper and red chilli coarsely (can use mixer also). Add the garlic and crush them roughly.

Take a kadai, heat it, add ghee, mustard seeds, hing powder and curry leaves. Add ¾th part of crushed pepper garlic to it and fry a little.

Add the tamarind extract to the kadai, 2 cups od water and add turmeric powder to it. Add required amount of salt to the dish.Keep the flame low.

After a couple of minutes, add the remaining crushed pepper garlic. Bring to boil.

Once it boils, mix well and switch off the stove. (Do not boil for long time as it may turn bitter)

Pepper garlic instant rasam is done and ready to be served with hot rice!
