Steps

Keep 50 gm peas whole aside and crush 150 gm peas. If you are using mixer, crush it for 3 seconds. Mix crushed peas with whole peas kept aside earlier.

In a pan, heat 1 tbsp mustard oil and roast peas in it until it turn brown. Keep it aside.

Make Masala paste - grind fresh coriander leaves, 7 garlic cloves, 3 green chillies, 3/4 tbsp Cumin, 1/4 tbsp black pepper powder and 1 tbsp water into thin smooth paste.

Heat 2 tbsp mustard oil in a pan, add 1 pinch asafoetida and Turmeric powder. Add masala paste and 1/2 cup water, cook it until oil separates from masala.

Add potato cubes and roasted green peas and cook for 1 minute. Add 1 cup warm water and salt. Cover with lid and let it cook until potato cooks completely.

Add tomato cubes and cook with covered lid until tomato cooks completely.

Garnish with coriander and serve with Rice.
