First, combine the yeast with the warm milk in a small glass to activate it. Meanwhile, measure the rest of the ingredients.

Place the flour in a bowl, making a well in the center. Add the butter, about half of the beaten egg, the sugar, and the yeast and milk mixture (once dissolved). Place the salt in a corner so it doesn't touch the yeast.

Start mixing with a spatula. When most of the liquids are incorporated and it becomes difficult to continue with the spatula, turn the dough onto the table and start kneading until all ingredients are incorporated.

The dough is not sticky at all, and it should look uniform when finished.

Place the dough in a bowl that has been lightly greased with a bit of oil, cover, and let it rest for 1 to 2 hours. It should double in size.

After the time has passed, turn the dough out again and divide it into 3 equal parts. Shape them into balls and place them on the baking tray to rest for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C), with heat from above and below, no fan.

Uncover the buns, which should have doubled in size, and gently flatten them with your hand (this helps them keep their shape). Brush with the remaining egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

Bake for 15 minutes at 400°F (200°C). I placed them on the second level from the bottom.
