Ingredients

  • 1 cupCabbage shredded
  • 1 cup Raw papaya shredded
  • 1/2 cup Lotus Stem thinly sliced
  • 1small Onion thinly sliced
  • 1 ginger julienne
  • 8-10basil leaves (ruffly chopped)
  • 1 tspfresh garlic leaves (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbspCoriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup White Peas boiled
  • 1 tbspRoasted Chickpea powder (satu)
  • 2Roasted Red chillies crushed
  • 1/2 tspRoasted Perilla seed
  • 1/4 tspKala namak(black salt)
  • 1 tbspLemon juice
  • To tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a bowl, add the cabbage (shredded), Raw papaya (shredded), thinly sliced lotus stem, Thinly sliced onion, ginger julienne,chopped chives chopped basil leaves, boiled white peas.

  2. 2

    Mix together roasted chickpeas powder, roasted crushed chillies and roasted perilla seeds powder or sesame seed with pink salt and normal salt as per taste.

  3. 3

    Add spice mix to the vegetables mix, Add the lemon juice and coriander leaves, mix the ingredients nicely together. Serve it immediately.

This recipe is not right for manipur main ingredient is missing Ngari(fermented fish) If there is no fermented fish you can't call this manipur authentic singju(Salad)
