Mixed Vegetables Oats Kichdi

Place a vessel over stove and heat ghee/oil and then add whole pepper, cumin seeds. Let the cumin seeds crackle.

Then add the finely chopped ginger and onion and saute until onions turn translucent.

Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute until it becomes soft.

Add the mixed vegetables and saute for a minute. Then add the turmeric powder, pepper powder, jeera/cumin powder, coriander powder and required salt.

Then add the (washed) split moong dal and oats and saute for few minutes and add 4 cups of water and mix well.

Remove from flame and place the vessel in cooker.

Cover the cooker with it's lid and pressure cook for 3 whistles. When pressure settles down on it's own, remove the lid and stir the vegetables oats khichdi and serve hot.
