Steps

Remove skin of bottle gourd and chop them into bite size pieces. Keep all other ingrediants ready

Blend roasted peanuts after removing the skin into a coarse powder.

Take a kadhai and add 3 spoons oil and splutter mustard followed by ural dal and jeera.

Add garlic and curry leaves and let it splutter.

Add chopped onions and fry till transculent.

Then add tomatoes and rock salt and cook till tomatoes turn mushy.

Add chopped bottle gourd and coat it with the masala and cook for 5 minutes

Add 2 spoons curry chilli powder and saute till raw smell goes off

Then add 2 cups hot water and cook till bottle gourd is cooked (approximately 7 minutes)

Then add the powdered roasted peanuts and stir for 2 to 3 minutes until gravy thickens and serve with hot steamed rice.
