Ingredients

  1. For chane ka dal mixture
  2. 1/2 cupchana dal soaked
  3. 1/2 inchginger finely chopped
  4. 2garlic cloves finely chopped
  5. 2green chillies finely chopped
  6. 1bay leaf
  7. 4-5black peppercorn
  8. 2-3cloves
  9. 1 tspsalt
  10. 1 tbspghee
  11. For blanching spinach
  12. 1 bundlespinach
  13. 1/2 tspsalt
  14. 1 pinchsoda bicarb
  15. For kebab mixture
  16. 1 tspghee
  17. 1 tspshahi jeera
  18. Spinach puree
  19. Chana dal mixture
  20. 2 tbsproasted besan
  21. 1 tspsalt
  22. Ghee for shallow frying
  23. For the filling
  24. 1 cuppaneer crumbled
  25. 4-5cashews finely chopped
  26. 7-8mint leaves finely chopped
  27. 1green chilli finely chopped
  28. 1/2 tspnutmeg powder
  29. 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  30. 1/2 inchgrated ginger
  31. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Soak chana dal for 1 hr. Take a pan boil all ingredients for chana dal mixture except ghee. Cook it, cool it and grind to a fine paste. Add ghee while grinding it. Blanch the spinach, cool it and make a fine paste. After grinding chana dal, strain it for clean smooth texture. Heat a pan, add ghee, shahi jeera, spinach puree.

    Chana dal mixture, roasted besan and salt. Mix well. Cook for 2-3 mins. Remove from gas and refrigerate it for 15 mins.

    Prepare the filling by taking all ingredients of the filling in a bowl. Mix well. Now remove the kebab mixture from fridge, make small balls, add the filling, close and shallow fry on both sides till golden brown. Remaining few made kebab and placed a cashew over it.

    Ready to serve with 🍅ketchup and coriander mint chutney.
