Ingredients

  • 1 cupplain flour
  • 1 tspbaking powder
  • 1/2 cupcold water
  • 1 tbspcorn flour
  • 1 pinchsalt and pepper
  • Some asparagus and green beans but you can use any leftover vegetable, cut up to bite size
  • 2 cupvegetable cooking oil
  • Dipping sauce
  • 1 tbspSoysauce
  • 1 tspmirin
  • Some sesame seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix your battles mixture together. The batter should be single cream consistency.

    Add vegetable cooking oil in a wok, medium high heat. Dip your vegetable into the batter and gently drop them in the wok. Fry small amount at time until your vegetable cooked nicely golden and crisp.

    Serve with soysauce. You can sprinkle some Japanese chilli (Shichi-mi tōgarashi)
