Upma is popular traditional breakfast recipe from South Indian cuisine. Usually Upma is made from roasted semolina and cooked in hot boiled water. I have cook Upma in hot milk to make more it healthy breakfast.

Upma is popular traditional breakfast recipe from South Indian cuisine. Usually Upma is made from roasted semolina and cooked in hot boiled water. I have cook Upma in hot milk to make more it healthy breakfast.
Steps

In kadhai add heat oil on medium flame. Add urad dal,as it turns pink. Make tempering(tadka) by add mustard seeds, cummin seeds, green chillies pieces, dry red chillies, curry leaves.

Add semolina and mix well. Roast on low flame for 10 mins, till pinkish & nice aroma comes. On other gas boil milk and water separately.

Pour hot milk,mix well add hot water, salt to taste, mix and cook for few minutes. Pour ghee on it,mix well. Cook for 1 minute.

Garnish with fried cashewnuts pieces.

Serve/Relish Delicious Hot Milk Upma with hot Coffee for complete Healthy Breakfast.
