Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1.1 lbsbeef stew meat, cubed
  • 3carrots
  • 1onion
  • 1leek
  • 1tomato
  • 3.5 ozpeas (canned or frozen are also fine)
  • 2/3 cupred wine
  • 1 piecedark chocolate
  • Salt and pepper
  • 7 ozorzo pasta (a rice-shaped pasta)

Steps

  1. 1

    Season and lightly flour the beef, then fry in a pot until browned.

  2. 2

    Next, add the chopped onion and leek, and fry for a few minutes until soft.

  3. 3

    Add the chopped tomato and thickly sliced carrots, and fry until the tomato breaks down.

  4. 4

    Add the red wine and piece of chocolate, stir, and let it boil on high heat for a few minutes to evaporate the alcohol.

  5. 5

    Add the peas and a little water if necessary, just enough to cover the meat. Cover and let simmer on low heat for a couple of hours.

  6. 6

    When it's almost done, bring salted water to a boil in a pot and cook the orzo pasta for about 9 minutes.

  7. 7

    Drain the pasta, mix with the meat, and serve.

  8. 8

    Finally, enjoy the dish! 😄🍽
