Instead of making the usual curry or roast with raw banana combined with potato or just plain rice, raw banana podimas tastes delicious. It's a simple and easy sidedish recipe with less oil.
Steps

Heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds after it cracks add urad dhal and cumin seeds.

Next add curry leaves, garlic and green chillies. Saute few minutes.

Add onion and saute till golden brown. Then add potatoes and turmeric powder.

Add salt and pour ¼ cup water. Mix well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes till potatoes are soft.

Add the chopped raw banana. Mix and cover with lid for 5 minutes. Smash with spoon to break the chunks.

Add grated coconut and coriander leaves. Mix well.

Tastes best with any spicy curry and rice or can be kept as stuffing for masala dosai also.
