Steps
- 1
First, cut the bread slices into triangles. Finely chop all the nuts, grate the coconut, and crush the cardamom.
- 2
Deep-fry the bread pieces until golden brown. In a small bowl, dissolve 1/4 cup sugar (50 grams) in water to make a thin sugar syrup.
- 3
Bring the milk to a boil in a saucepan. Simmer, stirring continuously, until it reduces by half. Add the milk powder, grated coconut, cardamom powder, remaining sugar, and saffron. Boil for 1 more minute, then turn off the heat.
- 4
Let the prepared rabri cool to room temperature, then chill it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- 5
On a serving plate, dip the fried bread pieces in the sugar syrup and arrange them on the plate. Pour the chilled rabri over the bread to cover completely.
- 6
Garnish with the chopped nuts and cherries. Serve chilled.
