Firstly soak Basmati rice in water for at least 30 mins next drain it. Heat some water in a vessel bring it to boil add rice, turmeric and a little salt and boil it till fully cooked

Once cooked strain it and keep aside

Now in a pan heat butter & oil, now add cumin seeds once cumin seeds crackles add sliced onions and fry till translucent.

Next to this add sliced tomatoes, shredded cabbage, sliced capsicum, green peas fry this for 5 mins.

Now add red chilli garlic paste,(soak red chilles in water for 20 mins, in a mixer jar add soaked red chilles, garlic, pink salt, little water and make fine paste)

Fry this for 5 mins next to this add pav bhaji masala powder, garam masala powder, cooked rice and toss everything well cover and cook for 10 mins

After 10 mins open the lid sprinkle some coriander leaves and add lemon juice and switch off the flame

Serve hot with raita and pickle

Note - You can add red chilli garlic paste more or less according to your taste

Tawa pulav is prepared on large tawa (griddle)& on high heat which actually lends unique flavour.
