Steps
- 1
Take rice flour and maida in a pan and slightly make it hot and switch off the flame. Transfer it to a big plate. Grind the fried gram to fine powder in a mixer. Add grated dry coconut, red chilli powder, hing, salt to same mixer jar and grind it.
- 2
Add this grinded fried gram mixture to the plate containing rice flour and maida. Add carom seeds(ajwain)to it. Mix all the above ingredients. Add 3 tbsp hot oil to this, carefully mix it using spatula. We add hot oil to get crispy kodubale.
- 3
Now rub this mixture with hand. Check the mixture forms shape when we hold it.
- 4
Now add water little by little and prepare a soft but stiff dough. If dough becomes more soft kodubale will not be crispy. Take a small lemon sized dough on a rolling board and roll it. Next bring the edges together, seal it and make ring shape.
- 5
Heat oil in a Kadai. Drop the kodubales in hot oil. After dropping kodubales reduce the flame and fry in low medium flame until it changes colour and turns nice crispy.
