Ingredients

45 minutes
for 8 people
  • 1/2 cupoil
  • 250 gramsmutton
  • 3big size shaljum (turnip)
  • 3medium size onion
  • 2medium size tomatoes
  • 1tspn red chilli powder
  • 1tspn salt
  • 1/2tspn turmeric powder
  • 1tspn coriander powder
  • 1tspn cumin seeds powder
  • 1/2tspn garam masala powder
  • 1 tbspginger/garlic paste
  • 2-3 cupswater for gravy
  • Green chilli and green coriander leaves for garnishing

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    In a pot add oil, onion, mutton,ginger garlic paste and 1/2 cup of water, put in the low flame until meat become tender

  2. 2

    Then add chopped tomatoes and all the spices except garam masala powder

  3. 3

    Cook it well until oil releases on top then add shaljum cutted into 4 pieces and add water for making gravy and cover the lid in low flame

  4. 4

    When shaljum become tender add garam masala powder in the end and garnish with chopped green coriander leaves and green chillies

  5. 5

    Serve with chapaty and boiled rice !
