This is a small riff on the wonton stuffing recipe, since both are similar in taste. There's a more pronounced taste of black pepper, along with Chinese sausage and a slice of boiled egg.

Please scale this up as necessary for the number/size of buns you would want to fill. I have not yet made a successful homemade dough, and will likely not find one that works for me for a while.

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 lbground pork, (leaner cut)
  2. 1 tbspsoy sauce
  3. 1 tbspoyster sauce
  4. 1/2 tspsugar
  5. 1/2 tspcornstarch
  6. 1 tspsesame oil
  7. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  8. 1shallot, finely minced
  9. 1boiled egg, sliced
  10. slicesChinese sausage

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix pork with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, black pepper, and shallot. Use as stuffing alongside egg and chinese sausage slices in a more traditional Vietnamese stuffing.
