Pilau is the most popular dish in the coastal homes of Kenya.
Steps

.Boil the meat until tender.. Once cooked, drain the remaining broth into a container and put aside

In a Pot of drained meat add the cooking oil and heat till hot then add onions. Fry

Add crushed ginger and garlic then stir. Let it fryfor like a minute or two

Add the spices that is..black pepper,pilau Mix and GARAM masala and tomatoepaste

Then add four cups of the meat broth. Top up with hot water(if broth is not enough).Sprinkle some salt to taste

Wash the rice. After the water or broth has boiled, add the rice. Cook under low heat until all water has dried up or until ready.

Pilau goes well with kachumbari, and a stew on the side or better a ripe banana
