Matcha Green Tea and White Chocolate Panna Cotta

Today I’m sharing a delicious recipe for panna cotta with matcha green tea and white chocolate. It’s very creamy and looks beautiful when served.
I used agar agar as a thickener instead of gelatin to make it softer and suitable for vegetarians.
You can substitute the milk and cream with soy milk and soy cream, use agave syrup instead of honey, and choose lactose-free white chocolate to make this recipe vegan.
This is a popular and quick-to-make dessert you can enjoy as is or decorate as you like. I’ll share some decoration ideas at the end of the recipe.

Steps
- 1
Pour the milk into a small saucepan, add the honey and agar agar, and whisk together.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir constantly for two minutes after it starts to boil. - 2
Add the white chocolate and whisk until it melts into the milk. Add the cream and mix well.
- 3
Divide the panna cotta mixture into two equal parts. Add the matcha powder to one part and blend with an immersion blender until smooth.
- 4
Set your serving glasses on slightly larger supports so they rest at an angle.
- 5
Carefully pour the matcha panna cotta into the bottom of each glass and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Keep the other portion of plain panna cotta at room temperature during this time.
- 6
Once the matcha layer has set, straighten the glasses and pour in the remaining plain panna cotta. If it has thickened too much, warm it in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Refrigerate for about 3 hours. - 7
Serve this delicious panna cotta with a drizzle of raspberry coulis, a few red currants, or a strawberry sliced into a fan shape.
