Ingredients

1 hr
makes 3 cups
  • 4 tbspoil
  • 4large onion
  • 4black elaichi(Cardamom)
  • 1 tbspginger paste
  • 1 tbspgarlic paste
  • 1 tspgreen chilli paste
  • 4medium tomatoes
  • 1 tspkasuri methi
  • Paneer ki sabji
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 1stick cinnamon
  • 2cloves
  • 1bay leaf
  • 1onion cubed
  • 1Capsicum cubed
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1 tspGaram Masala
  • 1 tspkasuri methi
  • to taste Salt
  • gravy
  • 200 gm paneer
  • 1/4 cup water

Steps

    Heat oil in a pan. add roughly chopped onions to it. Add black elaichi to it. Cook it until light brown in colour. Now add ginger, garlic and green Chilli paste. Mix well. Now cook for another 5 minutes. Now add roughly chopped tomatoes to It. Cook until the tomatoes turn soft. Now add kasuri methi to it. Cook for 2 minutes and turn off the gas. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature.

    Now in a mixer jar, grind the onion - tomato mixture to a smooth paste adding half cup of water. Now strain the gravy through a strainer to make it smooth. The instant gravy is ready.

    To make paneer sabzi from the same gravy, heat oil in a pan. Add cinnamon, clove and bay leaf to it. Now add cubed onion and capsicum to it. Saute for a minute. Don't overcook the vegetables. Now add all the dry spices to it and mix well. Now add Punjabi gravy to it and mix well. Add quarter cup of water. You can add fresh cream to this stage if you want. Now add paneer cubes to it and mix well. Serve hot with roti or rice.

    You can make mix vegetable also using the same method. Just add cumin for tadka. You can choose vegetables of your choice. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
