In South India this recipe is called as Paruppu Sadam or Arisim Paruppu. It's easy or quick recipe for lunch. It goes well with Pacha puli and Chicken Sinthamani. In this recipe I have used Toor Dal, you can also use Green Gram or Flat Lentils/Red Cow peas/ Thattai Payaru. If using these lentils you have to wash and soak it for 2 hours.
