Assemble all the ingredients except oil.

Combine everything well until fully incorporated or a smooth paste is formed.

Divide the mixture/paste to equal portions and shape them into round tikkis.

Now heat a non-stick frying pan and sprinkle oil all over. Gently place the tikkis and shallow fry them from both sides until golden brown and crisp on a low medium heat.

Remove them to an absorbent paper to drain excess oil and then to a plate for serving.

Serve hot or warm along with any chutney of your choice. It can be served as a side dish with mid day meals.
