In a bowl mix butter and icing sugar. Fold it properly and add vanilla essence for flavor.

Now add all-purpose flour and baking powder in parts. Make sure you don't add all the flour at once. Do not overmix the dough, just mix it lightly.

Knead it to bring it all together. Then divide the dough in two parts in 2:1 ratio.

To the smaller part add a little milk and knead. And to the other part add red food colouring and mix so that the color is evenly distributed. Then add milk and knead.

Cover the red dough in a parchment paper and start rolling. Keep 1/2 cm thickness of the dough.

Use a heart-shape cutter and cut it out number of hearts from the dough. Make a pile of hearts by keeping one over the other. While putting the heart dough one over the other, brush them with a little water so that they stick together.

Keep them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes take out the heart dough and cover it with the white dough.

After covering it from all sides roll it so that the dough covers the red heart dough uniformly. You can use a parchment paper for easy rolling.

Seal the cracks if any and refrigerate for another 30 minutes.

Take rahein the dough out and cut it into rounds of 1/2 cm thickness. Place them on a plate and then cook it in a pre-heated kadhai at low flame for about 20 minutes, till the edges become golden brown.

Bring it too room temperature so that it hardens.

(Nutella Cookies)-In a bowl take butter and mix the sugar combo to it. Also add vanilla essence and mix it.

Then incorporate milk and whi sk it nicely.

Now in a bowl sieve all the dry ingredients say all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder.

Add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture. Make sure you add it in parts.

Also add some choco-chips to the cookie dough and keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Scoop out half tsp of Nutella on a parchment paper and freeze for 30 minutes.

After half an hour, flatten the cookie dough and place the frozen Nutella in the centre and roll it and flatten a bit. You can also add some choco-chips on the top.

Place the cookies on a plate with parchment paper. And then cook it in a pre-heated kadhai for about 18-20 minutes at low flame.

After they are cooked properly let it cool and then they are ready to eat.
