  1. 250 gmGreen chilli
  2. 1/4 cupMethi dana (fenugreek seeds)
  3. 1 tspKashmiri mirch powder
  4. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  5. 1 tspCoriander powder
  6. 1/4 tsphing/asafoetida
  7. 1 tspOnion seeds
  8. 1 tspFennel seeds
  9. 1 tspBlack mustard seeds
  10. to tasteSalt
  11. 2 tbspLemon juice
  12. 4 tbspMustard oil

  1. 1

    Soak dana methi with one cup of water for half an hour.

  2. 2

    Wash green chilli properly and chop into small pieces add in the blender and grind coarsely.

    Heat oil in a pan add hing,fennel seeds,onion seeds and black mustard seeds to crackle.

    Add green chilli and mix well,add coriander powder,kashmiri red chilli powder,turmeric powder and salt and mix well.

    Strain the methi dana and mix well cook for 4 - 5 mins now turn off the flame.

    Squeeze lemon juice and mix well.

    Now mirchi ka koota is ready to eat
