Masala Bread

I saw this Dassana's Veg Recipe last month during a Google search for Bread Breakfast/ Snacks. I made this recipe when I thought it would be easy and quick. My daughters loved this dish. Last time I made it I added water to the bread masala. Today I made that dish again without adding water to it. This dish seemed more delicious and crunchy to my girls than last time.

Steps
- 1
Cut 10-12 medium sized bread slices into small cubes. Keep aside.
Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan and add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste. Sautē for some seconds till raw aroma of both garlic & ginger goes away. Add chopped onions. Mix and sautē onions on a low to medium flame till they turn translucent. - 2
Keep the flame to a low then add spices --
Turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, coriander powder. Mix very well on low flame taking care that spices do not burn. - 3
Now add chopped tomatoes, add chopped chillies and mix well. Add salt as per taste. Do add less salt as bread also has salt and Mix again. Add 1/2 spoon of your homemade masala to make it spicy and mix well.
Sautē tomatoes till they become pulpy and soften. You see oil releasing from sides of onions-tomatoes - 4
You may add few Tablespoons water if the tomatoes stick to pan. Here I didn't add any water only kept stirring continuously so that masala doesn't stick to pan.
- 5
When the tomatoes have softened and become mushy, add chopped coriander leaves and kasuri methi. Mix again. Add and mix well the bread cubes with onions-tomatoes masala and sautē for 1 or 2 minute. For crispy texture in the bread you can sautē them for more time stirring at intervals on a low to medium-low flame
- 6
Squeeze the lemon juice on top and garnish with few chopped coriander leaves. Serve Masala Bread hot or warm.
